   WHO AM I

Hi! My name is Taylor.

I was born and raised in Colorado, which, bias-aside, is one of the most beautiful places in the world.  Now God has blessed me with the opportunity to live in South Africa, which is plump full of its own incredible beauty.  Whether here or there, the love and support of my family and church are unmatched, and my friends are the best anyone could ask for.

And so I am blessed beyond belief.

Africa has been on my heart for as long as I can remember, and it got in my blood after my first short-term trip to Uganda in 2007.  The joy and love that its people exude are heart-warming and contagious. Everytime the Creator of every tribe and nation has beckoned me to the continent I have been honored and excited to oblige.  After years of praying and preparing for a long-term opportunity to serve Him (in a place and capacity congruent with His will),  God has honed His vision for me on a township in the middle of South Africa where He is already moving in incredible ways through TentMaker Ministries.  I have been invited to work alongside this ministry for the next 12 months.  To be the hands and feet of Jesus to the precious people He longs to be known by in that place.

And so I am blessed beyond belief.

Now, the thought of moving to South Africa, loving on orpans and widows, and playing with dozens of too-cute-to be-true school kids delights my heart and fills it right to the tippy-top with joy.  But with this Taylor-made life (sorry, I had to) came the daunting task of raising support, which has seldom been something that I can muster excitement for.  I have no doubt that my Abba knows this about me, and accordingly, He has been ever so faithful in rallying the troops, supporters that He has been orchestrating throughout my life for such a time as this.  Not 3 weeks after initiating the dubious undertaking of seeking a full year of support, Jehovah Jireh brought in every penny, and more.  On top of that bountiful encouragement from the saints and pledges of devoted prayer warriors continue to pour in.

And so I am blessed beyond belief, and can't help but echo Paul:

"Now to Him who is able to do IMMEASURABLY MORE than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen." (Ephesians 3:20-21)
